No. TCG is a non-attorney consultancy providing Tier 1 services — search and filing assistance — in-house. Anything requiring legal judgment (Tier 2) is referred to an independent, licensed attorney. TCG does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
Tier 1 covers search and filing-assistance work that doesn't require legal judgment — we handle this directly. Tier 2 covers matters like office actions, oppositions, litigation, cease-and-desist letters, and international filings, which require a licensed attorney; we refer these to our independent partner attorney.
No one can guarantee registration — the USPTO makes that determination. Our search reports present factual results only, without an opinion on registrability or likelihood of confusion.
Your comprehensive federal and common-law search report is delivered within 1 business day of your order.
No. Our service fee and the USPTO's government filing fee (currently $350/class for a standard-character application) are always shown separately, on the Services page and again before you pay.
Filing is fast — we submit within 1 business day of your approval — but USPTO examination, publication, and (if applicable) opposition periods are outside our control and typically take several months to over a year, per current USPTO processing times.
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full card details — they're entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form.
If work on your order hasn't started, we'll issue a full refund of our service fee on request. Once a search or filing is in progress, fees already earned for completed work are non-refundable. USPTO government fees, once submitted, are non-refundable by the USPTO regardless of outcome.
Yes, at any time — email hello@trademarkconsultancygroup.com and monitoring will stop at the end of the current billing period.
